A space to Make, Design and Explore

The focus of this module is centred around the implementation of CAD software towards additive manufacturing in the working environment. With a predominant use of Autodesk Fusion 360, learners will be enabled to produce complex three-dimensional geometries correctly set out to 3D print.

Delegates will learn to utilise a CNC router towards reductive form making and fabrication. An in-depth overview of the machining process, tooling, safety and software to machine interface will be explored here. The delegates will have learned how CNC milling machines operate, how tools function and are set up, how to troubleshoot and how to cut with material and tolerances in mind.

Delegates will be exposed to the use and application of additive manufacturing using 3D printers. This module will also cover the process of designing for moulds and the link between additive manufacturing and mould making.

Adobe Photoshop Essentials will assist to make Photoshop understandable and useable. You won't find a technical explanation of every option for every tool in every situation, but rather a concise explanation of those parts of Photoshop you're most likely to need.

The Virtual Reality for Google Cardboard is an Essentials level course that will be a general introduction to the concepts OF Virtual Reality and will cover everything aimed at the Architecture students, MDDOP and possibly Engineering students.
